Dyeing your favorite leather coat to darker hue can at times, help in hiding the scuff marks and minute imperfections accumulated all through the years. To get a more precisely painted leather coat, ensure to practice leather dye in an old discarded leather piece rather trying it on directly your coat. Below given are 3 steps that you can follow while dyeing men’s leather coat 1)      Prepare a plain surface for dyeing. Add a few ounces of prepping agent into a container or bucket.  Take a fine grit sand paper (400 to 600 grit) and dip it into the agent and gently rub the surface of your leather coat.  This will help in removing the unwanted oxidized leather dye, silicone, wax, oil and also smoothens the cracks its surface.  Make use of paper towels or tissues to wipe off the excess solution and dirt from it.  Then, again give it a smoothing touch by re- sanding it with the 600 to 1000 grit sand paper. 2)    Now it’s the time to apply the dye. Add leather dye into the container and stir it properly into the water if you feel it is too thick.  Then, making use of soft, synthetic acrylic brush, paint the dye all over your leather coat. Initiate with the inconspicuous areas of the coat where you need the feel for dye. For larger area, you can use wider brushes. Before getting into the larger area, dye the seams and piping. You may need application of several thin coats to reach the color you desired for your classy leather outfit. Allow your leather coat to dry completely at least for 48 hours. 3)    Once you are done with the dyeing and drying part, wipe your leather coat with a clean towel. This will help in absorbing any excess meres of dye.  Spray the coat with a leather waterproofing conditioner, as this will help in giving a final touch to the classy men’s leather coat.
